ClickUp starts with a very generous Free Forever plan, but real work for teams lives on the paid tiers. List pricing looks roughly like this: Unlimited at about $7/user/month (annual billing), Business at $12/user/month, Business Plus in the ~$15–$22/user/month range, and Enterprise around $25–$40/user/month depending on seat volume and contract terms, with ClickUp AI/Brain sold as a separate per-member add-on on top of those plans.

ClickUp Pricing Landscape 2026

What Teams Pay for ClickUp in 2026 (Pre-Discount)

Let’s look at how real ClickUp bills behave.

We pulled ClickUp spend data from companies that use the Spendbase spend management platform. Here is what the client’s ClickUp bills look like, before any discount negotiations.

All numbers below are annual ClickUp spend only.

Team size (employees) Observed annual ClickUp spend range* “Typical” band we see most often What this usually means in practice
1–10 ~$700–$8,400/year ~$1,500–$5,000/year Small companies on Business/Business Plus, sometimes even Enterprise (e.g., 20 Enterprise seats at ~$8.4k/year) when they want SSO/trust features for a tiny core team.
11–100 ~$600–$22,800/year ~$3,000–$9,000/year ClickUp becomes a shared work hub. Most land in the $3k–$9k range; outliers like 100 Business seats on monthly list pricing push the bill to ~$22.8k/year.
51–200 ~$4,800–$29,400/year ~$5,000–$12,000/year Multiple teams on the Business Plan, sometimes mixing in higher tiers. Heavy use (100–130+ Business seats, often on monthly prices) drives totals into the $20k–$30k/year band.
200+ ~$600–$33,200/year Two modes: < $3k or ~$30k+ Either “pocket deployments” for a single team (low thousands per year) or large rollouts with 180–190+ seats on Business Plus / higher tiers in the ~$30k–$33k/year range.

What ClickUp Bill Can Your Company Expect?

Let’s make this practical and look at a few real examples from Spendbase customers. This will help you roughly estimate what the ClickUp bill will be for your company size and how deep you want to go.

ClickUp bill for small companies

For very small teams, your ClickUp bill is driven almost entirely by how “enterprise” you go, not headcount.

From the data, most 1–10-person companies end up around $1k–$4k/year if they keep people on Business/Business Plus and only pay for those who really work in ClickUp. Bills jump to $7k–$8k+/year when a tiny team upgrades to Enterprise for SSO/trust and gives those seats to almost everyone.

Some teams get caught by feature uses, not just seats. On Free, you only get ~60 Custom Field uses (each time you set a value counts); after that, you can’t add new values without upgrading, which is why many 5–10-person teams end up on Business/Business Plus or Enterprise faster than their headcount would suggest.

ClickUp cost for small–midsize teams

For 10–50-person teams, ClickUp usually becomes the main work hub. Most land around $3k–$9k/year when 20–40 people are on Business/Business Plus, and the rest stay free/limited. Bills only climb toward $20k+ when someone upgrades 50–100 people to full Business at list price instead of asking who actually needs a paid seat.

Users often get confused about seats. When guests turn into “members” or “limited members,” the bill can jump by a few thousand dollars with no obvious change in how you work.

  • Owners, admins, members, and limited members are all billable roles
  • Once you go past the included guest allowance, some permission-controlled guests also start counting as paid seats.
  • The difference between free view-only guests and permission-controlled guests that can become billable usually only becomes obvious when the invoice lands.

ClickUp cost for growing orgs

In the 200-100 band, ClickUp usually runs multiple squads, so the line item starts to bite. Most orgs land around $5k–$12k/year when 30–70 people are on Business/Business Plus on annual billing. Bills push into the $20k–$30k/year range when 100+ users sit on Business (often on monthly list pricing) and nobody trims seats, tiers, or AI extras.

At this stage, don’t forget about renewals. Before ClickUp auto-renews at $5k–$30k+/year, audit who really uses paid seats and Brain/AI, and use Spendbase to see ClickUp in your renewal calendar so you can cut seats or tiers before the invoice lands.

ClickUp cost for mid-market & above

For bigger companies (200–500+ employees), we see two patterns:

  • Pocket deployments: ~$600–$2.5k/year when ClickUp is just a team tool
  • Full rollout: ~$32k–$33k/year for 185–186 seats on Business Plus / higher tiers

You don’t pay for company size, you pay for how many people you converted to paid members and how high you went on tiers. Once you pass 150–200 paid seats, the ClickUp line comfortably lives in the $30k+/year zone before AI and discounts.

Layer AI/Brain on top of those already-premium seats, and you’re in five-figure territory very quickly, even for relatively small teams.

Speaking of ClickUp AI/Brain Costs

ClickUp Brain isn’t billed “per workspace”, it’s billed per paid user seat.

In ClickUp language, “members” = your paid users (owners, admins, members, and limited members). Guests are usually free, but once someone is a member/limited member, they’re a billable seat, and Brain is priced per seat, not per actual AI user, which confuses a lot of users.

So for a 200–300-person company where 150–200 people are members:

  • Users report $5, $7, $9, $12+ prices for ClickUp Brain in different places.
  • Your core ClickUp bill quickly lives in the $30k+/year range on Business/Business Plus.
  • If you add Brain for everyone, you’re stacking an AI fee on top of every paid user, which pushes you into five-figure AI spend even if only a small group actually uses it.

The only real way to control Brain costs is to control how many people are members and which of those seats really need AI, instead of flipping it on for the whole workspace by default.

On top of that, users often report that turning Brain on is easier than turning it off, with pricing and discounts varying by plan and billing term, so it’s worth double-checking your billing page and contract before enabling Brain across all members.
